Abstract:
A senior and graduate course on pervasive computing taught at the American University at Beirut is described. The lectures cover various pervasive computing topics, organized into six major categories, which include, programming languages, wireless communication protocols, wireless privacy, and mobile device technologies. The code demonstrations introduce students to design and coding concepts for application interface programming for handheld devices. The course requires three development projects, which aim to provide students with hands-on experience in developing pervasive applications.
