Initially heralded as a promising economic venture for Palestine, the project encountered hurdles such as protracted negotiations, fluctuating partnerships, with recent involvement from Egyptian firms. Despite incremental advancements in securing agreements and regulatory clearances, the eruption of conflict in Gaza in October 2023 disrupted progress once more. While there is speculation on social media linking gas resources to the ongoing conflict, this interpretation oversimplifies the intricate and longstanding Israeli-Palestinian tensions at play.
