Abstract
This article describes the development of a course on Applied Instrumentation for Civil Engineering students at the American University of Beirut. It is an elective course for civil and environmental engineering students and for electrical and computer engineering students. Discussions with faculty members in the Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) Department motivated the course and it was possible in part by support from the IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Society's (IMS) Faculty Course Development Award. © 2016 IEEE.
