A critical review of the link between leadership and member relationships, rewards and employee engagement at AUBMC -
Abstract
This project aims at defining employee engagement in healthcare, mainly at AUBMC as well as studying the link between leadership and member relationships, rewards and employee engagement. The qualitative research was based on five focus groups that had 44 participants belonging to five job families. The results showed the importance of AUBMC’s corporate reputation that increases employee engagement, the role of the manager that needs to be strengthened since it is decreasing employee engagement and the need to devise a rewards and recognition system built on the needs that the employees spoke about to increase engagement.
