Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) have revolutionized cancer treatment over the past decade, significantly improving survival across various malignancies. By blocking regulatory pathways in T cells, not only ICIs enhance anti-tumoral responses but also lead to immune-related adverse events (irAEs) affecting multiple organ systems. Early detection and timely management of irAEs are critical to optimize patients’ safety and treatment outcomes. This project proposes a protocol for irAEs early detection and management, synthesized from international guidelines and hospital practices in Europe and the United States of America (USA), with adaptations for the Lebanese healthcare context. It emphasizes the role of Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs) in monitoring, education, and clinical intervention, offering a structured approach to support safer immunotherapy integration.
