| dc.description.abstract | During my thesis, I have been conducting a social practice at Strand Building in Hamra by inhabiting a space in the building and being a neighbour to its tenants. After my work and collaborative research with street children in Thesis 1, I was curious about access, privilege and the relational architectural process. I have been exploring how a participative method based on building users can reshape the approach to architectural design. How could I use a storytelling and relationship-building to regenerate the Strand building? Can I question conventional building use through manifesting the desires of its current occupiers? | |
