Webinar 1: Introduction to Open Access Publishing

Speakers talked about Open access, different types, predatory journals, how to access and assess open access journals using journal metrics and other research tips.
Webinar 2: Increased Research Impact and Equity through Self-Archiving

This session introduced the Open Educational Resources (OER) Initiative to AUB community.
We spoke about OER, how to Retain, Reuse, Revise, Remix and Redistribute content for educational purposes. Our Science librarian introduced OER available for the Science. Our Engineering Librarian introduced OERs available for the Engineering School.
We invite all faculty members to attend this session’s recording to see how they can incorporate OERs into their course materials. We also invite students who can voice their concerns and learn how they can become active participants in the creation of their course materials.
