Abstract
“The New Roadmap to a Green Transition: Exploring Today’s Climate Actors” was a collaborative four-stage roundtable series designed to engage a diverse array of stakeholders and examine the strategies of key players driving the green agenda amidst current climate challenges. The series focused on three primary objectives: empowering municipalities to take climate action, building transparency and accountability, and translating knowledge into impactful action.
The discussions included strengthening the connection between local governments and their communities, managing e-waste sustainably in Lebanon, and research contribution to the environmental agenda through knowledge transfer and citizen engagement. In this closing event, panelists touched on the conditions of the return of displaced communities. These conditions are primarily enablers of public health, requiring deliberate efforts to create a safe local environment, and implement proper urban planning. By addressing these foundational elements, humanitarian action can effectively support not only immediate relief but also the long-term resilience, sustainability, and well-being of communities.
