dc.description.abstractThis project discusses the evolution of the ideology of Hamas within the context of the current Syrian crisis (or civil war). After a brief overview of the founding of the movement and its function as an outgrowth of the Muslim Brotherhood, it examines Hamas’ relationship with the Syrian regime (pre-crisis) and its stance on the Syrian civil war.
