Sayniq River is located at the southern outskirt of the Saida municipality in the South of Lebanon. The river is part of the natural heritage of the city but it is the most neglected and least investigated waterscape of the area. Hidden and undiscovered, the river is threatened, mistreated and forgotten due to human induced pollution through sewage waste, dumping and excessive agricultural activities. Based on ecological sustainability and social viability a formerly disrupted hidden river will transform into a landscape of ecological&public engagement. This will be achieved by naturalizing the river edge, remediating habitats, granting access to the river edge and redefining the public river line.
