dc.description.abstract The objective of the research herein is to conduct the dynamic modulus |Ẹ*| simple performance test on acquired Lebanese asphalt pavement mixtures from three construction sites in order to set a milestone for the development of a dynamic modulus |Ẹ*| masturecurve database. This latter will serve in providing a more realistic and field representative mixture characterization for design and quality control purposes. In addition, the tested mixes have been classified and checked for compatibility with Superpave acceptance criteria. Further, a fourth asphalt pavement mix has been laboratory prepared by replacing 15percent of the fine aggregate material passing sieve number 8 by CDW fine aggregate material. The in-house prepared mixe was also tested and the effect of the 15percent CDW fine aggregate material addition to asphalt pavements has been described. Fatigue and rutting performance of the acquired asphalt mixes from the three construction sites in Lebanon have been determined for the purpose of future comparison to actual infield performance and ultimately the local calibration of performance models. Predicted performance results have been compared and interpreted in reference to the mixes gradations, asphalt contents, and layer types for both thin and thick pavements.
