dc.description.abstract The objective of this study was to develop a handbook for HR practices and guidelines to help achieve the successful implementation of Enterprise Resource Planning in the Lebanese context. Based on a qualitative research methodology that relied on semi-structured interviews with ten ERP experts to collect data, the study found that the involvement of HR in ERP implementation in Lebanon needs to be perceived as critically important. The study recommends the involvement and empowerment of the HR function at the strategic level in the planning, design, and implementation process, specifically in identifying, mapping, and managing the substantial change and transition process that accompanies ERP implementation.
