dc.description.abstract The purpose of this study is to respond to the increasing calls in the literature to better understand how the HR function can leverage social media, namely in the recruitment process. More specifically, this study aims to survey a sample of Lebanese companies who have a social media presence to better understand the rationale behind the use of social media in recruitment, the variety of platforms used as well as the benefits from using such tools as compared to regular recruitment channels. The young generation in Lebanon is a heavy user of social media and organizations have to catch the wave of the burgeoning social media channels to win the war for talent.
