dc.description.abstract In this thesis we study the paper Recursive Formulas for Welschinger Invariants of the Projective Plane by Arroyo, Brugalle and Lopez de Medrano. In this paper the authors give a recursive formula to compute Welschinger invariants of generic subsets of the complex projective plane that are invariant under complex conjugation. They do this by reducing the problem to a purely combinatorial one that involves enumerating certain graphs called marked floor diagrams and giving a recursive algorithm for generating these diagrams.
