dc.description.abstract I am a theatrical performer and an architect. I am involved in both disciplines yet for the past four years in Architecture, I did not find ways to completely immerse myself in either as my engagement with one lead to compromise in the other. My thesis has therefore been about this reconciliatory phase between the two disciplines that would allow them to leak into each other and allow me to create a generative relation between them as part of one practice. The claim of my thesis is to develop a design methodology where the spatial yield is a dramatically transformative festival, in a continuous discovery loop, that responds to the body-space relationship between people and space as is the case in theaters that borrow their transformative nature from the plot-based entanglement between the performer and the stage.
