dc.description.abstract	My project is building the identity and platform of an Arab feminist anonymous band. Born as a reaction to the misogynistic Arab music industry, the band ALAT creates music to critique sexist lyrics, music videos and how women are perceived in this industry. ALAT, meaning both machine and musical instrument, plays and encourages experimental music in the Arab world.
