dc.description.abstract The 2008 financial crisis has had devastating impact on the global economy in general and the real estate sector in particular driving down real estate prices in North America and the Middle East. This project after a general introduction in Chapter I, discusses the causes and effects of the financial crisis in Chapter II. Chapter III highlights the impact on Arab countries. Chapter IV presents a comparison between Dubai and Lebanon. Chapter V concludes with some policy implications.
