One of the major challenges facing global companies like Consolidated Contractors Company (CCC) is talent recruitment. Talent information is available in CV's that are scattered over data stores at the various offices and branches of CCC, as well as at a variety of social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter The iRecruit system at CCC has been developed to manage this complex recruitment process. It is a web-based recruitment system that integrates the HR operations at the various o ces of CCC into essentially one system. The subject matter of this project is the Recruitment Engine (RENG) of iRecruit; that is. the software modules that implement the business logic at the heart of the recruitment process. These modules are supplemented by data access layers that allow the acquisition of the CVs from different data stores and data sources into a centralized database. The modules provide as well the mechanisms for searching, indexing and ltering the CVs based on job-de ned search criteria. The integration of the engine with other components of iRecruit (developed by other teams) has represented a major challenge for the project. |
