This project considers the proper management of construction projects with a working facility. It sheds a light on another angle which is the limitations that the working facility puts on the work. In addition to the development of the tasks by determining the budget, time, and interrelationships with other tasks, the tasks themselves are given another characteristic which is the byproducts. The facility limitations are compared to the task byproducts to create the appropriate counteractions. The intensity of counteractions is determined by the input of the end user who determines the level of compromise between the facility’s operations hindrances and the counteractions extent. The expertise of the project manager is vital to aid the end user as not to set the bar in an unreasonable manner. The counteractions can be treated as tasks having time and money implications and thus add to the planned value of the project in the Earned Value Management study and should be included from the planning phase of the project in order to have anticipated outcomes. |
