dc.description This book is illustrated by my lovely sister Saheer Ghazzaoui. This book is meant to target kids at a younger age (seven to nine years old), expose them to different sports, and normalize the bad feelings that come with the good.
dc.description.abstract Asma is a young girl who loves to run, but her anxiety and fear of failure sometimes make her doubt herself. When her coach invites her to participate in a competition, Asma is excited but also worried that she might not be good enough. To make matters worse, her friends tell her that girls should not be sweating and training like boys. But with determination and courage, Asma decides to participate in the race and prove to herself and her friends that girls can do anything they set their minds to. On race day, Asma faces her fears and discovers that running is not just about winning but about doing her best and having fun. She learns that it's okay to be nervous and that she can overcome her fears with hard work and practice. This heartwarming story is a great reminder for children that it's important to believe in themselves and not let their fears or other people's opinions hold them back. It encourages them to pursue their passions, no matter how challenging they may seem, and to embrace the joy of trying their best.
